This page describes what Remi actually does with your information — it is written against the code and the database we run, not from a template. If something here is unclear, or you want to know what we hold about you, email hello@onremi.com.
What we collect
- Your email address and password
- Held by our authentication provider, Supabase, so you can sign in. Your password is stored only as a hash — we never see it.
- Your profile
- Display name, handle, bio, and avatar image. You choose all of it, and you can change it at any time.
- What you create in Remi
- Recommendations, comments, photos you attach to a review, in-search-of posts, planner lists, collections, the people you follow, and the posts you like.
- Product analytics
- Which screens you open and which actions you take, sent to PostHog so we can see which parts of Remi are working. This is not anonymous: once you are signed in it is tied to your account, and PostHog also receives your handle and whether you are a creator.
- Crash diagnostics
- When the app breaks, Sentry receives the error and the technical context around it so we can fix it. While you are signed in, the crash is tagged with your account id, so we can tell whether a bug is hitting one person or everyone.
- Subscription status
- Whether you have an active creator subscription, from Stripe on the web and RevenueCat in the mobile apps.
We do not sell your information, and we do not run ads in Remi.
Who can see what you post
On an ordinary account, your profile and your posts are visible to you and to the people who follow you. They are not shown to the rest of Remi.
A creator account is different, and that is the point of it: a creator’s profile and recommendations are visible to every signed-in Remi user. Becoming a creator is a choice you make.
Your planner lists are private to you in every case.
Remi has no public profile pages today — someone who is not signed in cannot browse anyone’s content. One exception is worth stating plainly: the image files you upload (avatars, product images, review photos) are stored so that anyone holding the file’s address can load it. Those files are not behind a sign-in and are not covered by the rules that keep your posts private, so treat anything you upload as reachable by someone determined to find it. Don’t put in a photo you would not want seen.
Payments
Creator subscriptions are billed by Stripe on the web and by Apple or Google through RevenueCat in the mobile apps. Your card details go to them, never to us. Remi never receives or stores a card number. What we hold is whether your subscription is active and the identifier the billing provider uses for it.
Deleting your account
If you can sign in, open Account → Delete account in the Remi app on web or mobile and confirm — deletion happens immediately. If you cannot sign in, email hello@onremi.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. See what gets deleted and what survives for the detail.
Deleting your account removes your sign-in, your profile, and the content attached to it: your recommendations, comments, in-search-of posts, planner lists, collections, follows, likes, and subscription record. The database removes them together with the account.
Two things are kept rather than removed, with the link to you cleared so they no longer identify you:
- Entries in the shared product catalogue that you were the first to add. The product stays so that other people’s saves and recommendations still work; the record of who added it is cleared.
- Engagement records — the clicks, saves, and comments behind creator analytics. The record stays; the note of which account it belonged to is cleared.
Image files you uploaded are not removed automatically by that process. Tell us in your email if you want them taken down too and we will remove them by hand.
Data already sent to PostHog, Sentry, Stripe, and RevenueCat lives in their systems under their own retention rules. Ask us and we will make deletion requests to them on your behalf.
